Special Ticket Package

General Admission Fee: 6€, Reduced fee: 3 €

The Special Ticket Package is valid for: the Archaeological Museum of Chania, the Byzantine and Post Byzantine Collection of Chania, the Archaeological Museum of Kissamos and the Archaeological Site of Aptera.

 

Note:

The reduced fee is valid for all visitors from November 1st to March 31st .

 

Throughout the year, the following visitors are entitled to a reduced admission fee:

-University students and students at Technological Educational Institutes or equivalent schools from countries outside the EU, upon presentation of their student card.

- Greek and EU senior citizens over 65, upon presentation of their ID card or passport.

- Parents accompanying primary school children on educational visits.

 

Free admission Days

Admission is free to all visitors on the following days:

-On the first Sunday of each month from November 1st to March 31st.

-March 6 (Memory of Melina Mercouri)

-October 28th (National Holiday)

-April 18 (International Monument Day)

-May 18 (International Museum Day)

-The European days of Culture Heritage, the last weekend of September

-March 6 (Memory of Melina Mercouri)

 

Visitors entitled to reduced admission fee

-University students and students at Technological Educational Institutes or equivalent schools from countries outside the EU, upon presentation of their student card

- Greek and EU senior citizens over 65, upon presentation of their ID card or passport.

- Parents accompanying primary school children on educational visits

 

Visitors entitled to free admission

-Visitors under 18, upon presentation of the ID card or passport

-University students and students at Technological Educational Institutes or Military Institutes, and the equivalent Institutions from EU countries, upon presentation or their current student identification card or ISIC

-Employees of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Archaeological receipt Fund (TAP) upon presentation of their staff ID card.

-ICOM and ICOMOS membership card holders

-Tour guides, upon presentation of their professional ID

-Teachers accompanying students on primary, secondary or higher education school visits,

-‘Friends of Museums and Archaeological Sites’ around Greece upon presentation of their valid membership card

-Police officers working for the Department of Antiquities

-Official guests of the Greek State

-Free admission card holders

-Visitors with disabilities and their escort

-Greek unemployed citizens, upon presentation of their ID and current unemployment card

-’Solidarity card’ holders

- Journalists with current journalists’ identification card

-Members of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and the equivalent chambers of EU member states, upon presentation of their membership card.
