Description

Corinthian exaleiptron (lidded vessel for liquids) with short ring base, compressed body and inward rim to avoid spillage; one horizontal strap handle on body between two spiky projections; painted decoration with black paint on rim, red bands on body and two rows of dots on shoulder. It comes from ancient Phalasarna and dates in the first half of the 5th century BC.
