Marble head of a satyr [Λ 109]
This is the marble head of a satyr which is rendered frontally and tilted slightly to the left. The satyr has an oval face, with pointed ears, a pronounced chin, almond-shaped eyes deeply set below overhanging brows, straight but bride nose, and fleshy lips. The head has two horns visible between the wavy curls. This head comes from the sanctuary of Pan in Yrtakina and is to be dated to the 4th – 3th century BC.
