Gold strap necklace [Μ 767]
Gold strap necklace with seed-like pendants. This necklace consists of a gold 'strap' chain of eight doubled loop-in-loop chains interlinked. Attached along the lower edge of the strap are small disks, from which are alternately suspended seed-shaped pendants, which consist from a set with a cabochon garnet or cornaline and a set of plain pendants. This elegantly worked necklace is dated to the early Hellenistic period (end 4th –beginning 3rd cent. BC.).
